Dog Training and Adventure Camp

What is Dog Camp?

Dog Adventure Camp is an amazing opportunity for dogs to hike and play in an enriching natural environment.


Dogs form close friendships in small groups, and are able to use all of their senses to explore their world. This meets their needs for social time with other dogs, mental stimulation, and exercise.


Throughout camp we take breaks from play to practice group training exercises to help the dogs build important life skills.

Who is eligible?

Dog camp is a service for dogs who are fully trained off leash and enjoy socializing with other dogs. Due to safety reasons, we aren’t a training service for dogs that are still learning off leash skills like recall, or who aren’t fully comfortable and tolerant towards other dogs.

Camp dogs must be:

  • At least 2 years of age.
  • Spayed or neutered.
  • Calm riding in the car.
  • Friendly towards other dogs and people.
  • Off leash trained and come reliably when called.
  • Vaccinated for rabies and distemper.

Dog Camp Logistics

Pickup for camp is any time between 9 and 10 am.

We go on a 2 hour adventure and then drop off between 12 and 1 pm.

Camp is run on Monday- Friday mornings.

We currently have openings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Our service area is Richmond, VT. We may consider clients in nearby towns like Williston and Hinesburg as our schedule allows.


Cost of camp is $40 per dog per hike.

Process

First fill out the New Client Information Form so I can learn more about your dog!


From there we will schedule a meet and greet so I can meet you and your dog, we can discuss camp and any questions you have, and go over paperwork.


I will then schedule a one on one trial where I take your dog out on an hour long hike to get to know them better and see where their obedience skills are at.

If all goes well, your dog will be able to try out dog camp with the other dogs. They will be in a probationary period for about 1-2 months while I monitor their behavior and see how they do with the group!
